MCC Podcast #1- Afterlife With Archie

It's finally happened! The podcast is upon us! The first book to get discussed is:

Afterlife with Archie Vol. 1 (2014)
Archie Comics
Writer: Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
Art/Covers: Francesco Francavilla

Alright! So if you want to listen to the brand new podcast then go to the Itunes store or podcast app and search Music City Comics. The cover art looks like this:

(for now)

In this episode I am joined by Lauren Rantala, the writer/illustrator of the indie comic Twenty-Nothing (reviewed here and for sale here) as we go into this fine addition to any horror comics or Riverdale library.

It's a finnnne podcast, a damn fine podcast. All I ask is that you give me some time. The format of the podcast is going to change as well as the comfort level with it, so give it a chance and definitely tune in next time for a totally different type of episode. I'm still getting my footing, blah blah blah, excuses. Normally, this will take place of the Sifting for Gold Wednesday entry (probably every other week) but today, this is how it worked out.

Here is the basic lowdown of this episode:
  1. Intro to the Podcast- Who am i? Why am I doing this? What's down the road?
  2. Spoiler-Free Discussion- Lauren joins me and we discuss the art and story quality.
  3. Spoiler Walkthrough- Exactly how it sounds, we go through the story issue by issue so people can get an idea of what's going down. Oh and we add some commentary. (This is the part I will be changing for future episodes.)
  4. Goodbye- It's... exactly how it sounds.

Just a reminder, there are a few ways to contact me if you would like me to discuss a book/series "On Air". You can hit me up on Instagram @hopeyoulikebugs, Twitter @justdrewvg, email me directly at musiccitycomics@gmail.com or on the little contact form on the right side of this very blog! I encourage suggestions, praise, and criticisms!

Make sure to subscribe and join me next time for a look at the insane and ingenious world of The Motherless Oven!
